Leicester have won a place in the promotion pool after playing their final group A match in the EuroHockey Indoor Clubs Trophy in Abbeville this afternoon. Despite conceding an early goal to the Czech side Slavia Hradec Kralove and going into the second half 2-1 down, the English side responded strongly in the second half with goals from Kerry Williams, Lauren Turner and Chloe Rogers. Leicester's first half goal was from captain Vanessa Hawkins.
Leicester play their first promotion pool match against hosts Abbeville later this afternoon (Saturday).
