WORLD CUP BID WINNER TO BE ANNOUNCED IN NOVEMBER

The International Hockey Federation (FIH) has announced that it will be making an official announcement about the awarding of the 2014 World Cup at its Congress, which due to take place between 6th and 14th November 2010 in Montreux.

In a statement the FIH has said that it has received two bids, one from England and the other from The Netherlands. Both offers are for the Men's and Women's World Cups to be staged together.

England Hockey officially announced its bid in London yesterday (Tuesday).
