SECOND HALF REVIVAL GIVES GB VICTORY

Twenty minutes into the match between Great Britain and South Africa in Stellenbosch today, it looked as if GB were going to suffer their second defeat of this three match series. Leslie-Ann George had struck with two penalty corner conversions and it was not until minutes before the break that Crista Cullen pulled one back for Great Britain. The visitors struck again just after the re-start with a goal from a penalty corner by Leicester's Kerry Williams, and minutes later Cathy Gilliat-Smith gave GB the lead from a rebound from another penalty corner. Final score 3-2 to Great Britain, giving GB a 2-1 lead in the series.

Scots player Vikki Bunce won her first GB cap in this match.

This weekend sees the second round of matches in the Indoor EHL. Due to refurbishment work at the TalkHockeyRadio studios there may be a delay in bringing Saturday's results to you. We hope to be back in full action by Sunday evening.
