DWYER AND AYMER NAMED TOP PLAYERS

The International Hockey Federation (FIH) has announced the names of the winners of the 2010 FIH Player of the Year Awards.

The men's award goes to Australian international Jamie Dwyer, who has won the award for the fourth time. The women's award goes to the Argentine international Luciana Aymer, who takes the award for an astonishing seventh time.

The Young Player Awards go to Germany's Tobias Hauke and China's Zhao Yudiao. This is the first time that a Chinese player has won a prestigious FIH Award.

The awards were made at a gala dinner at the FIH Congress in the Swiss city of Montreux.
