IRELAND AND KOREA LEAD IN FIGHT FOR LAST OLYMPIC PLACE

Korea and Ireland remain unbeaten after three matches in the last of the women’s Olympic qualifying tournaments being held in Victoria, British Columbia. Korea have so far overcome Uruguay 10-0, Korea 5-0 and Italy 5-0, whilst Ireland have beaten Malaysia 3-0, Canada 2-0 and Uruguay 1-0. Korea currently lead the table on goal difference. The two sides meet each other tomorrow (Thursday). In third place is Italy on six points. Italy play Malaysia tomorrow.

The final will be played on Sunday.
