NEWS FROM ARGENTINA AND INDOOR TESTS IN PAISLEY

Great Britain women played their final match of their five-match series against Argentina yesterday evening (Friday) in Salta. The hosts took a three goal lead by the break, all three from penalty corners, and GB's only reply came from Crista Cullen mid-way through the second half. Final score 3-1 to Argentina.

SCOTLAND v ENGLAND INDOOR TEST MATCHES IN PAISLEY

Ashley Jackson was on form for England in their opening indoor match against Scotland in Paisley on Friday, scoring four of England's goals in their 7-5 win. Other England goals came from Simon Egerton (2) and Richard Smith. On Friday night England's women also recorded a win over Scotland with goals from Georgie Twigg and Sam Quek. Final score in that match 2-1 to England.

The women had mixed fortunes today (Saturday) as they fell to a 5-2 defeat against Scotland this morning, Sam Quek and Lauren Turner being the England scorers. Playing their second game of the day, England later returned to beat Scotland 1-0, the goal coming from Kerry Williams.

Meanwhile the men drew 3-3 against Scotland, with the England goals coming from Iain MacKay, Jonty Clarke and Richard Mantell. England performed better in their final match, with three goals from Ashley Jackson and a goal from Richard Springham giving England a 4-2 win.
