GB LOSE IN BRUISING ENCOUNTER

Great Britain found themselves 2-0 up against Argentina after only seven minutes in their third test in Salta.

Jo Ellis and Suzie Gilbert found the net within seconds of each other, both from open play. In what became an increasingly bruising encounter, which saw Alex Danson, Nicola White and Helen Richardson injured and Becky Herbert and Richardson consigned to the sin-bin, Argentina were not able to reply until the 57th minute when Noel Barrionuevo pulled one back for the hosts.

Six minutes later Alejandra Gulla scored from the penalty spot to equalise for Argentina and shortly after they took the lead through goals from Daniela Sruoga and Silvina D'Elia, both goals scored within less than 60 seconds of each other.

Sally Walton scored her first GB goal just before the final whistle, leaving the score at 4-3 in favour of Argentina.

GB's injured players are expected to be fit for their fourth test on Thursday.
