EHL Matches Played Today
There were two matches in the Slazenger League today, although the full league programme does not re-start until next weekend. In the Men's Conference North, University of Durham assume a three-point lead over Belper after a 4-1 win over Sheffield University Bankers, although both Belper and third-place Brooklands have a game in hand. In the Women's Conference North, Loughborough Students are a bit ahead of themselves, having played their tenth match of the season this afternoon. Sarah Mills was the only scorer in their 1-0 defeat of Whitley Bay and Tynemouth, which extends their lead at the top of the table. With the exception of their opponents today, all other teams in the division have games in hand, in some cases three, but the Student's ten point buffer confirms them as true leaders.
