BOWDON TO HOST WOMEN'S EURO CUP

The European Hockey Federation has named Bowdon Hightown as the host club for the 2009 Women's EuroHockey Cup Winner's Cup to be held over the Easter weekend. Bowdon qualified for the tournament by virtue of finishing second in the Premier League in the 2007-2008 season. Also taking part are Rot-Weiss Koln (Germany), Bonagrass Grove (Scotland), Club de Campo (Spain), Lorenzoni (Italy), Amsterdam (Netherlands), Kolos Borispol (Ukraine) and Royal Uccle (Belgium).

A similar tournament for men was discontinued at the end of the 2006-2007 season and was replaced by the EuroHockey League.

TalkHockeyRadio has been pleased to support Bowdon Hightown ahead of this announcement by the supply of hockey images.
