The FIH has announced the teams that will be invited to the next Women's Champions Trophy in Rosario, Argentina.
The five teams that 'qualified' at the recent Champions Trophy in Amsterdam, namely The Netherlands, Argentina, New Zealand, Korea and England, will return, Added to that list is Japan, who won this year's Champions Challenge 1 in Dublin.
More controversially, the FIH has decided to invite two of the 'relegated' nations who finished in the bottom three in Amsterdam, namely Germany (ranked 3 in the world) and China (ranked 5th). The only nation that took part in the last Champions Trophy not to be invited is Australia.
The Champions Trophy will be played from 28 January to 5 February next year.
