TWO VICTORIES MOVE ENGLAND INTO SECOND PLACE

After three matches England move up to second place in the men's indoor Rohrmax Cup in Vienna.

After the disappointment of defeat at the hands of Austria on Thursday, England overcame the USA 5-0 yesterday, with goals from Richard Smith, Simon Mantell, James Tindall, Richard Alexander and Barry Middleton. They then went on to play Switzerland under 21s, recording an impressive 9-1 win, with goals from Daren Cheesman (3), Richard Smith (2), Adam Dixon, James Tindall (2) and Simon Egerton.

England play local club side Armine, and Austria Under 21 today (Saturday).

The standings after three matches. 1. Austria 9 pts (+13), 2. England 6 pts (+10), 3. Austria U21 6 pts (+5), 4. USA 3 pts (-8), 5. Arminen 1 pt (-6), 6. Switzerland 1 pt (-4).

The women's table is currently been led by Austria. There is no England team in the women's tournament.
