STROKES DECIDE WOMEN'S WEMBLEY FINAL by Peter Colwill at the Super Sixes finals.

Bowdon Hightown became the Women’s Indoor champions by beating Reading 9-8 on penalty strokes following a 5-5 draw in the final. Amy Tennant dived low to her left to deny Emma Thomas at the 22nd stroke of the shoot-out.

Alex Danson was the outstanding player with 4 goals, including 3 from open play. Sam Quek scored Reading’s other goal against her former club.

Sally Walton (the official player of the match) converted both Hightown’s corners with the other goals coming from Nicky O’Donnell, Fay Nash and the evergreen Tina Cullen.
