ENGLAND ENJOY BRIEF LEAD AGAINST DUTCH

As part of their preparation for the World Cup in New Delhi later this month, England's men played the first of a two match series against The Netherlands in Seville earlier today (Thursday).

The Dutch took a 2-1 lead into the break thanks to goals in open play by Jeroen Hertzberger and Teun de Nooijer, with England's Nick Catlin pulling one back before the half-time whistle. England made a fine recovery, with Matt Daly and Ashley Jackson putting their side briefly ahead. Rogier Hofman equalised in the 61st minute but the winner was scored by Hertzberger in the dying seconds. Final score: Netherlands 4 England 2.
