GB WOMEN LOSE THREE MATCH SERIES AGAINST GERMANY

Ahead of England's participation in the World League finals in Argentina, a Great Britain Women's team has travelled to Manheim in Germany to play a three match capped series against Germany.

Great Britain won the first match 1-3 with second half goals from Susie Townsend, Steph Elliott and Georgie Twigg.  However, they lost the second match 3-1, GB's scorer being Susie Gilbert. The third and final match was also lost 3-1, with Ellie Watton scoring for England.

The squad which was largely made up of English players, with three Scots included, contained a number of players earning their first caps. These were Sabbie Heesh (Loughborough Students), Suzy Petty (Beeston) and Shona McCallin (MOP, The Netherlands).

The World League finals start on 30 November.
