Wintry conditions wiped out the England Hockey League for the second day running, after no matches were played in the Women's Premier Division yesterday. Today it was the turn of the Men's Premier Division. Frozen pitches were cited as the most common reason for the cancelation. There were no Conference matches due to be played today.The England Hockey League now goes into its winter recess and, with the exception of a handful of re-arranged matches, no more games will be played until February. However, there is still a lot of activity taking place in senior hockey, with the indoor league starting next weekend and culminating in the national indoor championships at Wembley on 30 January.
